KursbeschreibungGames, like chess, have been playing an important role in the development of Intelligent Systems. In summary, games provide a sophisticated, and yet simple, testbed for developing and assessing various intellectual skills for intelligent systems. In the last decades, significant advances have been made towards non-cooperative games, like chess, checkers, and Go, where artificial intelligence can outperform human players. On the other hand, in cooperative games, like Hanabi, humans still significantly outperform start-of-the-art machine players. In this research lab, the students will study Artificial Intelligence techniques for cooperative games. In addition, students shall implement and assess at least one of such techniques. |
